Consultation Fee:

 

$195 (flat fee), plus HST.  Legal advice is not provided over the phone and will follow only upon a conflict check and technological verification of photo ID. General information about landlord and tenant rights, responsibilities, LTB forms and some procedures can be obtained by phoning the Landlord and Tenant Board or visiting their website.

Consultations include review of filed or draft paperwork, and  evidence if provided in advance of the consultation. Options, strength of the case, procedural law and strategy are also discussed.

Limited Scope or "Unbundling of Services" are available, when you hire me to do only certain stages of the case.  ​Although retainer agreements are necessary, even for limited scope work, money retainers are not normally required in advance of completion of the stage of work for which the firm was hired.

Notarization / Commissioning of Documents Fee:

​

$45 for the first document notarized; $35 for the first document commissioned (sworn statements). $25 for each additional document notarized / commissioned during the same appointment. HST extra.  Notarization and commissioning is done only in person, by appointment.  Local mobile appointments for seniors, hospital visits, disabled persons are available for an extra fee.
