The LTB is committed to delivering administrative justice in a manner that is transparent, fair, independent, and accessible in accordance with the open court principle.  LTB hearings are open to the public unless an LTB adjudicator has determined that a specific hearing should be closed to the public in accordance with the LTB Rules of Procedure.

It is an offence under section 29 of the Statutory Powers Procedure Act to record a LTB hearing in any way or reproduce or disseminate a recording without the LTB’s authorization.

Additionally, as you may be aware, section 3(2)(a) of the Hearings in Tribunal Proceedings (Temporary Measures) Act provides that a tribunal may make any orders or give any directions that it considers appropriate in the circumstances respecting public access to hearings.
